Welcome to the NY Permaculture Meetup! THIS MEETUP is your GATEWAY to Permaculture ideas, activities, organizations, and movements in the New York City region.

Here?s what you?ll find?

1) LEARNING
Permaculture in NYC is growing! Each season, more and more Permaculture workshops and classes -- from the comprehensive introductory certification course to hands-on workshops -- are being offered... check out our Calendar.

2) PRACTICE
Find a study or practice group near you! Have book discussions, watch permacutlure movies, form a neighborhood equipment or tool sharing system, work together to retrofit your homes, or get outside and start gardening, etc.

Groups have formed in:

• Inwood (Manhattan)
  
• Brooklyn (Park Slope and Brooklyn-wide)
  
• Join in or start your own!
  

Also, practicing Permaculture includes virtually every ?green? eco-friendly activity you might imagine? so activities or events that focus on energy efficiency, water conservation, soil development, etc. will be posted on the calendar. The term "permaculture" may not be part of the presentations, but it's all part of a big picture, and understanding how to connect the dots of "being green" to create truly sustainable/abundant systems makes a difference! 3) PEOPLE!!
There are a number of organizations in NYC and surrounding areas that are providing permaculture education, activities, and/or services. And as much as possible various groups' events will be posted.

More than anything, this meetup is for YOU! Find people at all levels of permaculture experience to connect with, teach, or learn from -- and have fun. Permaculture and finding others that are learning and practicing it is good for the earth and good for us too.
