I highly encourage people to attend either of tonights events: (1) Liberation Ecology: Making Sustainability Matter http://www.nycpermacu...  Rafter is not only a great presenter (see recent reviews for his Mycoscaping workshop!), but the work of Liberation Ecology is incredibly effective at clearly drawing out how "Earthcare" and "Peoplecare" are relevant to each other in our daily lives. (2) Permaculture and Earthcare as Yoga http://www.nycpermacu... This talk explores how permaculture and Earthcare can be an expression of Self care and part of a spiritual practice - In the last few years, folks at Sivananda Ashram Yoga Ranch have taken up permaculture and really run with it, so come learn about what's happening at that site, and also about the Permaculture Design Certification (PDC) and Yoga intensive offered this August (http://www.nycpermacu... )- Alice Green Phoenix Permaculture |
