Hello to all!

I am currently writing my Master's thesis at NYU in the Food Studies program, examining if agrarian practices can be adapted to urban communities. As part of my research, I am visiting urban farming projects to observe the operations and enhance my understanding of the motivating factors for establishing such programs. I am also looking to study the philosophies and personal assertions held by the farmers, employees and volunteers in regards to food, agriculture and community.

I think permaculture projects certainly have many practices and philosophies aligned with New Agrarianism and I am eager to visit with individuals working in permaculture or any form of urban gardening/farming.

If any of you would be interested in speaking with me for 30 minutes to an hour within the next week or two, please e-mail me at kate.petcosky@gmail.com.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

Cheers,
Kate
