Hi all,
I had a meet up group at the bungalow/garden in Queens where we brainstormed about its' potential.

An opportunity is open to:
1. live in-house through winter -- maintain snow for low rent.
2. Opportunity to join the garden this winter to prepare land for the spring.
3. we will be up and going in the Spring.

SPACE: a shed, cozy 15x25 house, some parking on the street, 100x30 property.

A mini permaculture place
- implementing skill - stacking functions/multiple uses
- we have lots garden parties with home grown food and performers.
- we will be growing and making entrepreneurial land based products
- teaching
- connecting to neighborhood, park, shops, schools.
- a place to hang your hat near the city (friendly rate for overnights)

Write me for more information and your possible desired uses
or
join the discussion!

SUNDAY PAINTING PARTY!

We will go paint the place on Sunday after t-giving. (it will be sunny)
- paint
- Plan and set space for raised beds.
- help us design which plants can go where. Stacking functions/multiple uses. Make it beautiful by mixing flowers herbs and veggies. There will be traditional row plantings and mixed edible beauteous plantings.

If the landlordess agrees Sunday to start rent in March :) - or reduce it greatly for Dec Jan + Feb we will put the furnishings back in the house to make it cozy again.

THE BUNGALOW GARDEN Historical Video

I asked the old landlord last Spring if I could video interview him. His daughter said yes. He speaks only Italian (still). He has an interesting first generation American story that is connected to cultivating that land -- back to 1943. He is a character even at his dwindling age - it's really hard to understand him. We will need subtitles. I want to film once in the winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Four 10 min videos. We will show the vids at Bungalow events and post it on the bungalow garden blog page. In this case at least, the history is part of the wholel.
