Permaculture Design Course; Sept. 14 -25, 2009; HI-Hostel, Martha’s Vineyard, MA


Permaculture is a powerful set of design principles for living more sustainability, within local resources, cooperating with Nature's designs, realizing joy and abundance in the process. This course takes beginner or pro through Intro, Principles, Fundamentals of soil, water, climate, garden/farm, trees/orchard, urban/rural, etc., and a Design Workshop to produce your own design. Class and field trips – great local speakers. MV has: kept its Ag tradition, small businesses/farms, renewable energy, conservation/preservation, community integrity/plan. A great setting for a PC Design Class.

Course Fee: $600 (Island Residents, $500); Hostel Room, $220/11 nights; Meals, $280 est.
Transport: Ferries from Woods Hole (cars), New Bedford, Quansett Pt, RI, & now NYC ('til 9/7)
Express bus from NYC, HART, BOS to ferries; Cape Air and US-Air
On-Island: Excellent bus service stops out front; super for bikes; cars welcome
