We were there for 2 months. Too short!!!
Here are links to three of the sites we visited in Bahia
Pura Vida

http://www.marsha.com.br/Apaoka
http://apaoka.blogspot.com/Campinas doesn't seem to have a website or blog. If you travel to Capćo (which is a popular hippie-eco-tourist destination in the Chapada Diamantina in Bahia, Brazil) you can ask anyone of the storekeepers or merchants in Capćo "how do I get to Campinas?" and they will tell you. It's an hour walk from Capćo. They are very open to receiving drop-in visitors (good to bring a tent!). They ask 8 real/day per visitor to help cover cost of food. (approx $4 US).
