This is for general networking and to meet/help Permies in NYC.
What is everyone working on and where? Who is available to help each other with projects? (where can you help out and when are you available)
Is the first Tuesday of each month a good night for meeting? Does the lower east side work for everyone? (if not, RSVP "no" with a comment of when/where you can make it in the future)
A $5 donation will be optional for our meetups. Proceeds help sponsor PDC students, establish and maintain demonstration sites, purchase land for a land trust network, and other sustainable culture educational projects in the Northeast. The PayPal link sends a donation to Green Phoenix Permaculture, a 501c3 organization.
Hey Everyone, I look forward to meeting you. How many of you are coming bc of the NYT article? It's about time Permaculture gets some mainstream exposure! We may get into smaller groups at the venue, so think on what most interests/excites you about living in cooperation with the earth. Are you looking for projects, social permie buddies, want to organize, or need more answers to "What IS permaculture?" See you tomorrow! (Also - the FOOD is super tasty, so please support EarthMatters!)
I was delighted when I saw the NYT article on Permaculture! I'm from Austin, but I happen to be in the city this week, so I was further delighted when I noticed that the monthly meetup is happening while I'm here.
See ya tonight :)

Due to the large turnout this month, please write down my cell phone number in case we can't fit into the location: 646-721-7541. There is an "upstairs" from the main store where there is seating. There is also an upstairs from there, kind of a back porch. I will need a couple people to show up early to help claim tables. Please consider buying a dinner plate of some sort, so the establishment has less to complain about. They will hassle us if we have a big crowd and few eat.
