This is the Annual Meeting of Imani Garden. The proposed garden plan for the upcoming year will be reviewed and approved by the community stakeholders. Included in the plan are a proposal to raise chickens in the garden, complete the water harvesting system, re-design the planting bed and increase our educational outreach to local schools. A free West Indian vegetarian lunch is being provided courtesy of Citizens NYC and New York Restoration Project.
Imani Garden is located at 81 Schenectady Avenue between Dean and Pacific. The annual meeting is being held in the basement of Our Lady of Charity RC Church next door. To get there, take the A train to Utica, then walk south four blocks along Utica to Dean and turn right.
