American Express 'Make a Difference' Community Volunteer Day

Almost two years have passed since MillionTreesNYC was launched by Mayor Bloomberg and Bette Midler, and we are well on our way to planting one million trees by 2017. With the help of volunteers like you, we have already planted nearly 250,000 trees. This fall we are looking to plant trees in exciting new locations- and we need your help!

On October 3rd and 17th, MillionTreesNYC welcomes volunteers to help plant trees at the Ravenswood Houses in Queens and the Frederick Douglass Houses in Manhattan. We hope that you will join us to dig in and help these local communities beautify their neighborhoods. We supply the trees, food, and planting equipment - you supply the muscle, care, and community spirit!
